great wines begin in the vineyard

The Wine

Our cool maritime location, with its moderating temperature effects and  with some vineyards less than two kilometres from the Great Southern Ocean, experiences a relatively early budburst compared to other inland Limestone Coast sub-regions, and allows grapes a long and slow ripening period.  Such moderate conditions can also mean that Mount Benson experiences later vintage commencement than other sub-regions in the Limestone Coast.
